More Framing ... Almost Done!

Cornerstone Baptist Builders returned Monday and Tuesday to finish framing and to complete plumbing and electrical!

The platform is almost completed, and most of the walls are up.

Someday soon, Lord willing, Pastor will be preaching from this spot!

A local steel company donated, yes DONATED, the steel studs and tracks needed to frame the inside of our building! They delivered some this past Monday, the rest will be delivered on Thursday.

We are again thankful for Cornerstone Baptist Builders. Two men came up to guide us in the framing process. Below are pictures from the second day. Thank you to those who volunteered their time to help or provide meals!

We praise the Lord for providing, even in uncertain times, God is still in control!

The septic system passed inspection and the foam insulation is completed!

Putting up the Big Beams with the Crane!

April 16, 2008, we thank those who helped as the crane came to put up main beams on our building. It was one of the windiest days around here, and as Pastor said, it kept us close to Him! We continue to praise Him for continued safety and provision as we watch the building go up!

Youth Conference 2008

The Youth Group headed to West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California, for their annual Youth Conference. This year's theme was "Consider Christ." Some of the decisions made were to attend Bible College for a year, enter full-time ministry, follow God when many around you don't, pray about calling to missions, and to be better testimonies in their homes and at school. We had a wonderful, safe trip, and God blessed greatly!

Groundbreaking!

Praise the Lord we now have the building permits for our new sanctuary! We had a Groundbreaking Ceremony this morning with a Pie Fellowship afterward. As Thanksgiving approaches, we do thank God for His provision! Continue to pray for us as we move ahead in this project as the Lord wills.

Teen Revival

We praise the Lord for the awesome weekend we had! 19 teenagers and helping hands (thank you so much, you know who you are!) made everything run smoothly. God blessed, and we pray He continues to work in the hearts of these teens!

We enjoyed hearing "Vessels of Honor" from West Coast Baptist College. Bro. Sean Blakely encouraged us with his message on being part of God's good work here in Kingman! We thank the Lord for this school and their training of people to serve the Lord. May we all continue to be faithful to Him!

Teen Activity in the Hualapai's

Since the Teen Revival has been moved to September, we had an activity which included bowling and an overnight stay at cabins in the Hualapai's. It was a wonderful time of Christian fellowship, games, and preaching! Pastor Steimer encouraged the teens to be "Epistles of Christ" from 2 Corinthians 3:1-3. While God sees the heart, the world sees our outward appearance. People do judge books by the covers. Let us not be Christians who look like a worldly "book" and are Christians just on the inside. You might be the only Bible someone ever reads. Live like a Christian from the inside out!

Summer Teen Revival Rescheduled

The Teen Revival scheduled for July 23-26 will be moved to September. However, we will still be having an activity Wednesday and staying overnight in the cabins at Hualapai Mountain Park.

Brother Joe and Julia will be working at Southwest Baptist Church in Lake Havasu City with Pastor and Mrs. Roan. Let's pray for all of them and the church there. You can still see them in Kingman on Wednesday nights. The picture is of Joe with his grandpa after his ordination ceremony.
